A box has been placed in the staff room (next to the Uniform Exchange donation bin) which will be available for everyone to recycle their used household style batteries (from work or home). We are awaiting delivery of the official box but this can be used in the meantime.
There is already a box situated in Technology, provided by the same company, and they will be collected and emptied regularly. The service is free to the school which is even better!
Alternatively, if you have any used batteries that you urgently need to dispose of at weekends, during the holidays etc., they can be dropped off at any large shop (i.e. Wilko, all supermarkets etc) that sell batteries, your local recycling centre or any Cancer Research charity shop (who will then receive a donation for all the batteries they recycle).
