We’re excited to introduce Winston, the North Huddersfield Trust School therapy dog in training!
Winston is an 18-month-old sprocker spaniel. He’s full of energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of puppy charm. He belongs to our very own Mrs Street and has recently been enrolled in the PAWS Therapy Dog Certification Programme.
Winston has been working incredibly hard to prepare for his new role at NHTS. From learning how to stay calm in busy environments to practising his listening skills, he’s been training every day to become the best school dog he can be.
To begin with, Winston will spend most of his time in Evolve and attend school around once a week. His aim is to help support both students and staff, offering a friendly face, a calming presence, and the occasional wagging tail.
We’re thrilled to welcome Winston to the team and can’t wait for everyone to get to know him as he continues his journey to becoming a fully certified therapy dog.
